General study information

This study is intended for people who have the signs and symptoms of dry eye disease. Common symptoms include eye dryness, eye discomfort, visual disturbance, damage to the surface of the eye, burning, stinging, itching, grittiness, scratchiness, and tired eye sensation. Symptoms can affect one or both eyes and may be more bothersome later in the day or worsened by environmental factors like wind or air-conditioning.

The purpose of this study is to evaluate how effective and safe an investigational eye drop is and how well it will work to treat the signs and symptoms of Dry Eye Disease.

Key requirements

Key Inclusion Criteria

  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Have a patient reported history of dry eye for at least 5 years
  • Have a history of use or desire to use eye drops within the last six months

Key Exclusion Criteria

  • No other investigational drug or device study participation 30 days prior to starting the study
  • Besides dry eye, you cannot have other eye conditions requiring treatment
  • No Lasik surgery within 12 months
  • No other ocular surgery six months prior to starting the study
